About Us
Preparing Youth to Succeed!
To accomplish the goal of making productive, law-abiding citizens, we must strive to keep youth off the streets and in school, encourage them to become high school and/or college graduates, and eventually prepare them for the workforce.
Keeping It Real Outreach Ministry desires to help teenagers understand that violence, hatred, gangs and other violent acts are not acceptable answers to the problems they face. Instead our goal is to ensure that they know that the Lord of God encompasses all understanding. This ministry hopes to bring resources to our communities by informing parents of available resources they may not yet have tapped into.
Who We Are
Dee and Mozell Axson
Dee and Mozell have a heart for troubled youth. They have over 30 years of experience in the educational system in Polk County, Florida, working with youth in varying stages of distress and need. Keeping It Real Outreach Ministry was born out of a desire to bring love and understanding to at-risk youth.

A ministry ordained by God to minister hope, vision and wisdom into the lives of our youth. This ministry’s goal is to assist our nations youth in building a foundation of values by guiding them into becoming productive, law-abiding citizens in our communities.
Our Primary Goal
Keeping It Real’s primary goal is to keep kids off the streets and out of jails. we also want to assist them with job referrals (via Polk Works), employ-ability training and provide them with job skills, interviewing skills (things like how to shake a hand, eye-to-eye contact, arriving on time, etc).
